  19. In addition to HTML pages, Microsoft Internet Explorer can open
  20. the following file types:

  23. <LI>GIF and JPEG images 
  24. </UL>

  27. You can open other file types by <A HREF="filety16.htm">configuring file types</A>.

  30. <B>To open a file, do one of the following</B> <BR>

  32. <UL><LI>To open a file on your computer, choose Open from the File menu, and then choose Open File. Select the file you want to open, and then choose OK. <BR>

  35. <LI>To open a file on the Internet, choose Open from the File
  36. menu, type the <A HREF="url.htm#TOP">address</A>, and then choose
  37. OK. <BR>
  38. Or type the address directly in the Address box in the Microsoft Internet
